Texas is the one market outside the Northern Midwest where Rock On has planted equipment and people. That distinction matters. Plenty of northern carriers will quote a Texas load and then go shopping for someone to actually pull it. We run our own trucks in Texas and we recruit drivers and owner operators who live there.
The work looks different than it does at home. Texas builds year round, so there is no frozen-ground pause to plan around and no spring thaw to wait out. Instead the constraints are distance and heat: a run from the Metroplex to the Permian Basin is longer than most of Minnesota end to end, and equipment that is not maintained does not survive a Texas August. Our own shop discipline carries over.
