Tractor-Trailer Driver

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Drives truck to destination. Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, water and all fluids and performs pre and post trip inspections. Responsible for the condition of their vehicle. For example, keeps truck clean and in good working order. Inspects material to ensure it has been loaded correctly and is secure and reviews shipping documents to verify all information is accurate. Maintains driver log according to I.C. regulations. Accurately enters ticket information into hard mount computer system in truck. Driver must be in DOT Compliance at all times during employment at Rock On Enterprises, Inc. Must maintain a clean driving record. Drivers are responsible for setting their own brakes Drivers are expected to grease their truck and trailer once a week. (every 5000 miles) This job will require out of town work for a few days or a few weeks at a time. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Other Skills and Abilities Knowledge and understanding of all DOT rules and regulations. General knowledge of truck maintenance. Must be able to pass Rock On Enterprises’ pre-trip and road test. Driver must know how to load the freight in order to comply with weight limitations and how to adjust weight (between axles) in order to bring an overweight load into compliance. Other Qualifications Must have clean driving record. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Rebuilds, replaces, or repairs major vehicle components, assemblies and systems including transmissions, suspensions, etc. Checks and repairs electrical and cooling systems. Mends damaged body and fenders by hammering out or filling in dents and welding broken parts. Performs tune-ups, regular vehicle maintenance and preventative care as needed. Removes any defective parts and replaces them with refurbished, rebuilt or new parts. Responsible for ongoing maintenance. Operates vehicles as needed. Plans work procedure. Raises vehicle, with hydraulic jack or hoist, to gain access to mechanical units bolted to underside of vehicle. Removes unit such as engine, transmission, or differential. Disassembles unit and inspects parts for wear. Repairs or replaces parts such as pistons, rods, gears, valves, and bearings. Overhauls or replaces carburetors, blowers, generators, distributors, starters, and pumps. Rebuilds parts such as crankshafts and cylinder blocks. Rewires ignition system, lights, and instrument panel. Relines and adjusts brakes, aligns front end, repairs or replaces shock absorbers, and solders leaks in radiator. Replaces and adjusts headlights, and installs and repairs accessories such as radios, heaters, mirrors, and windshield wipers. Cleans and organizes personal tool box, work area and tools/equipment being used on each job. Personal Cell Phone usage is limited to emergency call only or business related. Truck Wash Detailer

This position is responsible for safely and efficiently washing and detailing all fleet and outside customer vehicles and equipment. Inspect and maintain wash bay facility to ensure safety and proper functioning of all equipment. This is a full-time day position.

[/vc_column_text][vc_toggle title="Job Description"]Job Title: Truck Wash Detailer Department: Rock On Repair Reports To: Shop Supervisor FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Prepared By: Krystal Vierkant Prepared Date: 3/21/24 Summary Repairs and overhauls automobiles, trucks, trailers and other automotive vehicles by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Wash company & customer vehicles and equipment Operates all equipment properly and safely Perform daily inspections and maintenance of washing facility Follow all standard operating procedures and practices Helps other employees when needed Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
