Diesel Technician

Repair and overhaul trucks, trailers and other equipment in our own full-service heavy truck shop at the Waite Park headquarters. Reports to the Shop Supervisor.

What you'll do

✓Rebuild, replace and repair major components including transmissions and suspensions

✓Diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs independently

✓Check and repair electrical and cooling systems

✓Perform tune-ups, preventive maintenance and regular vehicle care

✓Remove defective parts and replace with new, rebuilt or refurbished parts

✓Inspect parts for wear and repair or replace pistons, rods, gears, valves and bearings

What you'll need

✓High school diploma or GED

✓2 years of related work experience

✓Advanced knowledge of diesel and engine maintenance and repair

✓Knowledge of operating systems on heavy trucks

✓Helpful: DOT Inspector certification, CDL, forklift or overhead crane experience
